The Secret Is in the Water

The Waikouaiti Coasts’s great secret is its water. The towns of Waikouaiti and Karitane nestle along the edges of a huge sheltered, sandy bay, which at one end feeds into a lagoon teeming with wildlife.

There are other surprises, too. The region has a unique place in New Zealand’s history. It is considered idyllic by holidaymakers looking for unspoiled beachesadventure activities, epicurean delights, and delightful gardens. It also has a number of facilities utilised by local residents and visitors alike.
